How to use these papers
Split these papers by half. The theory questions are best done in short, frequent sessions because they are testing recall of precise definitions, and precision decays quickly. The programming questions need long uninterrupted sittings, because the skill being tested is holding a whole solution in your head.
Write the code by hand and only then type it in. Past papers are the one place you can discover that what you "would have written" does not compile — a discovery worth making now rather than in the exam hall.
When marking theory answers, compare your wording to the scheme's wording word by word rather than by meaning. This subject's schemes are unusually literal, and an answer that conveys the right idea in the wrong vocabulary frequently scores zero. Keep a list of the phrasings you keep missing.
